Ford’s 2010 Taurus is now in preproduction, but while nothing is finalised just yet, the prototype is quite impressive.
The 2010 Ford Taurus SHO (the SHO stands for Super High Output) features an EcoBoost engine. It’s a twin-turbo V6 that can hit 365 horsepower while at the same time being fuel efficiency and response. The vehicle also features a Haldex all-wheel-drive that puts more of the torque in the back.
A performance package will be available that features more suspension, dampers, and a rear antiroll bar. The performance model also has a shorter drive ratio which results in faster acceleration. And for those guys out there who don’t think a woman knows speed and high performance vehicles? The 2010 Taurus was designed by Christina Rodriquez, the only woman to hold Ford’s Vehicle Dynamics Development Engineer title.
