Buick LaCrosse 2010

Posted on 24 August 2009 by anthony

The 2010 Buick LaCrosse is getting a major makeover from previous models.  GM is looking to make the LaCrosse more attractive to younger buyers, so it’s got a stronger, sleeker line and some new chrome accents that give the car a much more appealing look.  buick-lacrosse-2010The interior has also had a makeover that is actually based on some interiors from Chinese cars.  The interior is actually going to be quite luxurious and will feature heated seats, eight-way power seat adjustments, dual climate control, and much more.  There are even bucket seats in the back instead of the standard bench seat, which is very unique.

Of course, no 2010 vehicle is complete without some new gadgets, and the LaCrosse features everything you’d expect: Bluetooth, keyless ignition, a USB port, and an optional heads-up display that will actually overlay song titles and navigation information on your windshield.  As far as what’s under the hood, the LaCrosse delivers there as well.  Buyers will have three different options: a 3.6 litre V-6, a 3.0 litre V-6, and a 2.4 litre four-cylinder.

Chevrolet Camaro “Transformers Edition”

Posted on 12 August 2009 by anthony

GM is finally bowing to peer pressure by cashing in on the Transformers movie by producing a Chevrolet Camaro “Transformers Edition”. The film featured a whole range of GM vehicles, including a Chevrolet Volt, a Hummer, a GMC truck, a Pontiac Solstice and of course, the “Bumblebee” Camaro. chevrolet-camaro-transformers-editionOnce the first filmed had aired, GM received numerous enquiries about the “Bumblebee”, so they decided to take action.

The result was the new Transformer Edition of the Chevrolet Camaro. Coming as a standard or a high-performance model, fans are sure to be delighted with the new offerings. The standard models come powered by a 3.6 litre V6 engine or a V8. The V6 uses variable valve timing for optimum fuel economy and performance, and produces 304hp.

The high-performance versions of the car come with a 6.2 litre V8 engine as a six speed manual or automatic. The manual models produce upwards of 426hp.

The car comes fitted out with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio and GM’s much vaunted OnStar system – all as standard. Not to disappoint Transformers fans, the car has an Autobot shield on both the driver and passenger side panels, the same in the centre of each hubcap, as well as a logo embedded into the rally stripes on the bonnet.

Say Goodbye to the Cobalt SS and the Impala SS

Posted on 28 May 2009 by anthony

American car companies have been reeling from the economic downfall, and as a result, many cars are being cancelled.  gm-general-motorsThat’s what has happened to two more of GMs models.  The 2010 Cobalt SS Sedan and the 2010 Impala SS have been cut from the line of upcoming vehicles.  The 2010 Cobalt SS Coupe will still be available, however.

GM has yet to officially announce that the cars will not be produced, but there is no longer any order code available on their online ordering guide.  The cutting of the Cobalt SS Sedan is an odd move—it has been a favourite for many GM customers and has rated highly among other, similar four-door turbo-four cars.
