The inside is fairly spacious and has room for a good amount of cargo.  The smooth, sleek panels and controls look very futuristic.  When it comes to battery power, the entire car is run off of 48 lithium ion modules.  It takes less than eight hours to charge up the whole thing.  However, if you need a quick charge, the vehicle does have a fast charge option that will give it an 80% charge in about 30 minutes.  However, this does require3 adding a special charger, which will cost extra.

The interior includes sporty seats that tend to mould themselves around the driver as well as a snazzy sat-nav dock so all those messy wires can be avoided. The car handles very well due to the sport suspension and it features a newly designed bumper which has air intake valves incorporated.

The Volkswagen GTI is a very responsible hatchback that has it all: great steering, powerful brakes, amazing handling, and more.  You can find the Volkswagen GTI on just about every list of great hatchbacks and small cars.  It features a 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine that can reach upwards of 200 horsepower.  The GTI comes in either two or four door versions.  While it’s not the fastest hatchback on the list, it’s certainly powerful.

The next top hatchback is the Mini Cooper S.  This cute little car can be highly customized so you can get exactly what you want.  You can find the Mini Cooper S in either a convertible or a coupe version, but both feature the same great options and power.  The standard engine for the Mini Cooper is a turbocharged four-cylinder that gives it all the get up and go you could ever want.  If you want something you can easily customize, this is the hatchback for you.

The Mazdaspeed3 is another great hatchback.  While the Mazda3 features a great package, the Mazdaspeed3 has even more power and performance.  It comes with a 2.3 litre engine and has very tight suspension.  In fact, it can often be found on the list of top valued hatchbacks and cars.  In addition to all that performance and power, the Mazdaspeed3 also has many other features, including a great amount of cargo room.

Next up is the Dodge Caliber SRT4.  This hatchback has almost a muscle-car like feel to it.  It includes a great sports package and many other performance enhancing features such as a functional hood scoop.  The Caliber SRT4 has a lot of power for its price, making it a favourite among those shopping on a budget.  It also features some unique retro-designed gauges and many options.

Finally, the Volvo C30 rounds out our list of top five hatchbacks.  With its very European design and focus on comfort and style, some may not find this hatchback to be for them.  However, despite the fact that some find the C30 a little too athletic like, it’s still a great vehicle for those who want something with all the hatchback benefits combined with speed and looks.

As you can see, these hot hatchbacks are certainly some of the best vehicles available.  They all have a good amount of power, yet they’re also stylish and have all the great features you’d want in a vehicle.
