Audi hadn’t really ever tried to compete with companies like Porsche in the sports car world until they created the Audi R8.  The success of the R8 has shown that Audi can build a great modern sports car, and now they’re building on that success with the 2010 Audi TT.  The TT features a front, five-cylinder turbo engine, aluminium body, and more.

The five-cylinder engine makes the TT fairly light, meaning the car can accelerate much faster and handles really well.  The motor sounds like any great sports car, purring along at top speeds.  How does the Audi TT differ from previous cars, especially the R8?  It’s got better shocks, new anti-roll bars, and some updates to the steering system.  The 2010 Audi TT takes what Audio started with the R8 and fine tunes it, making this sports car a major contender for the top spot.

Porsche is considering building a new luxury super-coupe in the form of the old Porsche 928, but only, representatives say, if their global sales pick up.  While everyone agrees that a new three-door Porsche would be a great addition to the company’s line, it may not happen.  If it does, it is likely to be based on the Panamera, although it would feature some significant upgrades to the body and interior.

The Panamera was a very expensive investment for Porsche, and they’re looking for ways of recouping that investment.  Using the car as the basis for a new 928 would do just that.  Will the new Porsche 928 become more than just an idea, though?  Only time will tell.
